Appleton Episcopal Ministries - Originally founded in 1868 by Bishop John W. Beckwith in the Diocese of Georgia, Appleton has always focused on the needs of children. In January 2014, the Appleton Board of Governors was restructured and now includes representatives from each of the parishes in the Middle Georgia Convocation. These parishes include All Angels in Eatonton, St. Stephen's in Milledgeville, Christ Church in Macon, St. Paul's in Macon, St. Francis in Macon, All Saints in Warner Robins, St. Christopher's in Perry, St. Luke's in Fort Valley, St. Andrew's in Fort Valley, and St. Mary's in Montezuma. Together, these parishes work with Appleton's Missioner Julie Groce to multiply resources and expand the Episcopalian footprint of outreach ministry across middle Georgia by partnering with a diverse group of denominations, faiths, and community organizations. Haitian Hope - Since 2006 Haitian Hope has partnered with the people of a small mountain village in Haiti to fund teachers for a local school, provide necessary school supplies for the 275 students, and supply meals for the students and teachers to have a hot, sustaining lunch each day. We believe that education can empower an impoverished rural village and that the long term relationships that sustain this project not only lead to its success, but transform the partners on both sides of the world. Haitian Hope strives to be efficient by operating without any paid staff, giving 100% of funds to the work in Trouin. Donations to Haitian Hope, Inc. can be made by mailing a check to P.O. Box 7326, Macon, GA 31209. Learn more...
